Instagram Thursday, Sept. 5. “My heart is heavy with sadness, but I must make room for forgiveness and remember that my heart is what matters most.”
She continued, “Emotions ran high on stage, but at the end of the day, I will always have love for the person I fell in love with. I wish him the best in life and will always support him.”
Jen and Devin, 28, BacheloretteThe show aired its final episode on Tuesday, September 3. During the After the Final Rose live special, it was revealed that the two broke up shortly after leaving Hawaii, with Jen claiming that Devin ended the relationship by texting her that he no longer loved her.
“These past few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions and I truly couldn’t have done it without all of you,” Jen added Thursday, referring to her loyal supporters who tuned in to the show. “To the past you, the present you, the future you, and all of those who have identified with me… We are all doing our best to become the best version of ourselves. We are not defined by a moment, a situation, an experience, a failure or a heartbreak. We are defined by how actively we choose to grow from it.”
Jen, who is the series’ first Asian American lead, added that she is “still recovering.”
“These past few months have been tough, and it will continue to be difficult for me to fully understand my heart in this moment,” Jen concluded, “But what I do know is that I am worthy of unconditional, unwavering love, whenever that love may come.”
Jen also hopes that dancing as a contestant will help her cope with the sadness of her breakup. Dancing with the Stars Season 33.
