Ariana Madix She was sued for the second time this week, this time by one of her best friends. Katie Maloneyis also named as a defendant in an allegedly failed deal involving Something About Her, a sandwich shop run by reality TV stars.
According to court documents obtained by ET, chef Penny Davidi: Vanderpump Rules She had a contract that gave her 10 percent ownership of a sandwich shop in West Hollywood, California, but accused the stars of not honoring the contract.
Davidi claims he will retain 90 percent ownership, with Maddix, 39, and Maloney, 37, driving the business forward, while Davidi will oversee and manage the food and restaurant operations as chief operating officer and executive chef. In court documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Davidi said the contract, reportedly signed in June 2023, provides for a monthly salary of $7,500 through January 2024, “at which time said salary will increase to $10,000.”
The chef claims that as COO and executive chef, he “performed substantial work, engaged in substantial activities, and assumed substantial duties.” It’s unclear what happened (it’s not specified in the complaint), but Davidi claims that Maddix and Maloney “repudiated” their contract — meaning they reneged on it — and now Davidi is asking a judge to enforce the agreement.

Maddix and Maloney opened a sandwich shop called Something About Her in May.

But just two days after filing the lawsuit, Sandoval announced on Instagram that he was dropping it. The 40-year-old claimed that his lawyers told him the countersuit was procedural and that “the words ‘new lawsuit’ and ‘sue’ were never explicitly communicated to him.”
She added, “I should have investigated this matter more carefully. Now that I understand the true implications of this action, I have removed Matt Geragos from my legal team. I am not suing Ariana. The lawsuit against Rihanna filed on my behalf will be dismissed. I bear no ill will or vendetta against Ariana.”
“I hope that this case is resolved quickly so that Ariana and I can finally move forward with our lives,” Sandoval concluded.
