In an interview with GQAmanda Seyfried broke her most iconic characters, including her lead role in Diablo Cody Writer Jennifer’s body across from Megan Fox. Directed by Karyn Kusama, the film wasn’t an immediate hit, but it built a solid cult fandom that has been driving sequel talks for many years since its 2009 release.
In an interview, Safried expressed her love for the film and its universe.
“I can’t criticize this movie. It’s a perfect movie. It has the ball. Diablo Cody was straightforward and beautiful, clever and interesting. And we were expressing certain anxiety in a very specific genre and very specific comedic way. “There you go. [were] Stunt. There was a girl in everything you could want and girl’s actions. ”
Jennifer’s body Angsty Teen Girls – It was not sold exactly to Angsty Teen Girls. Seyfried is well aware of how it worked against the 2009 film.
“If a critic criticizes something, it becomes marketing. Marketing was sucked in. It just did. We all agree. Karin is like a fierce advocate for women in storytelling,” Safried said. “She can enhance the relationship between women in film and television. She can mine everything she can and she is very human and very sensitive. But it felt like she cares deeply about this story beneath it. The team and I are really a good team.”
Thankfully, the film was revisited, and the film crime film denounced it, and has since gained cult supporters. It was welcomed to have that era welcomed entry into the Pantheon of “puberty as a monster.” The inger snaps Before that. You can offer a sequel Jennifer’s body The ultimate redemption? Safried hopes that.
“I’m looking forward to the sequel,” she said. “They’re working on it. I’ve already given a thumbs up. I’m ready whenever you’re ready. [an adult version of my character] poor. I love being poor. It was also the first time I’ve really played nerd and Megan has become a shitty demon. And it was amazing. We all had so much fun. So I want to celebrate it by doing a sequel. ”
Seyfried riffed to where she thought her need was over. “I just want to see the poor people in the power position. I’m not necessarily in the power suit, I’m in the power position. Maybe she’s going to run the branches with Planned Parenthood or something. She’s bad.”
But how can you do it? Jennifer’s body A sequel to Megan Fox’s Jenniferless? After all, the poor stabbed her in the heart at the end of the film. To that end, Safried said, “And I don’t know, where is Megan? She’s probably someone’s chief of staff. But she’s a bit dead, right? But is she? I don’t think she is. ”
If Needy turns out to be the unreliable narrator of the events of the film and is Will Graham of Jennifer’s Hannibal, we would be so dead. It fits perfectly with the implicit tension-filled theory between them in their toxic relationships, and we find it fascinating to explore now that they have graduated from high school. Disney needs to make this happen and bring Jennifer back to the local haunted legend of the Devil’s Kettle.
