From sparkling water made from bottle caps to fake salt, we’ve got it all at CES 2025 and all the exciting technologies unveiled during the event. And the intrepid crew attending the event in Las Vegas this week sampled a slew of food and drinks made with the technology created by the groundbreaking device.

Here’s everything the CNET team sampled this week. We’ll also let you know when each of these gadgets will be available for purchase in the US.

Tortillas made by robots

Senior Editor John Reed was thoroughly impressed with Apecoo’s tortilla and roti maker, calling the machine-prepared tortillas “beautifully warm and perfectly crispy tortillas that instantly revive a weary soul.” It was like that.”

The company says the roughly $900 gadget isn’t on the market yet, but should be available within the next few months. Might be a little too expensive for someone who only eats tortillas once in a while. Instead, you can imagine this being used in a restaurant or food truck.

Reid came too frazi bot A booth where you can sample the Frappuccino you have made. He likened the taste to a Starbucks drink, but since Frazy Bot uses pre-measured ingredients to create the drink and uses a Frappuccino recipe, he uses diary-free milk (which he says is lactose-free). I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t make it because I have an intolerance. Uses whole milk.

The product isn’t on the market yet, but it’s expected to cost a whopping $7,000. But brewing coffee at home with a machine like this may be worth it for some coffee lovers if it saves them money on their daily coffee bill.

salt spoon

Even if you have to reduce your salt intake for health reasons, the Kirin electric salt spoon should not affect the quality of your diet. A thick spoon allows you to salt your food without actually adding salt, which could be a game-changer for people who don’t have much access to seasonings.

The spoons feature varying levels of saltiness and will be available in the U.S. later this year for about $125. I can see the lead Try Spoon in real time here.

sparkling water on the go

If you’re a fan of sparkling water, you might be excited to know that there’s an easy way to make it on the go soon. roamingthe hydration innovator, has introduced a water bottle that comes with a CO2 cartridge inside the lid so you can fill it with water and pour out the sparkling water. Reid sampled the fizz and said it had a “mild, drinkable level of carbonation.” This process took only a few seconds. It is expected to cost $50 at release.

frozen snacks

Large editor Bridget Carey sampled some of ColdSnap’s sweet treats during CES 2025 and had no complaints about them. Passionate mango smoothie machine mass produced for her.

“Cold Snap’s new healthy options like smoothies and protein shakes were delicious,” Carey said, adding that the design is perfect for “shared office spaces and waiting room lobbies.”

ColdSnap has introduced a new type of frozen treat that you can make, and the machine is now available for purchase. The machine is currently On sale for $3,000.

“This is a great example of what you can buy now, and we studied how the swirls could be distributed to make it look more appealing,” she says.

hormone meter

This isn’t about Carrie, though. ate Eli Health’s hormone meter, which itself is an at-home hormone testing device, made this list because it must be held in your mouth for 60 seconds to collect data (i.e. saliva) . Carrie was able to test her stress during CES using a small stick. I will be happy to inform you she got the best results.

In addition to cortisol tests, the company also plans to offer progesterone tests in the same format, but I didn’t have a chance to test them directly. A 4-pack of tests costs $32 and allows you to: Join the waiting list now If you’re interested, try these out for yourself when they become available. Carey said the test felt like having cotton in her mouth, but it only lasted 60 seconds.
