Acme Solar Holdings on Friday said it had signed an agreement with the state-owned NHPC to provide 250 mW of electricity from the renewable energy project in Rajasthan.
According to the company’s statement, the power purchase agreement is signed with a tariff of Rs 4.56 per KWH to meet the minimum annual capacity utilization rate of 40%.
Acme Solar Holdings Ltd. has signed a 25 year PPA with NHPC Ltd., a central government company under AAA evaluation, for its 250 MW corporate and dispatchable renewable energy project in Rajasthan.
This PPA enhances the footprint of ACME solar in the FDRE space and marks a key step in supporting India’s clean energy ambitions through an innovative combination of solar, wind and battery storage technologies.
The project will be connected to a substation in an interstate transmission system that has already had connectivity.
The necessary approvals under section 63 of the 2003 Electricity Act were issued by the Central Electricity Regulation Authority on June 19, 2025, the company said.
This brings the company’s PPA signature portfolio to 5,130 MW, of which 2,826.2 MW are already operating, with the balance being in various implementation stages.
Acme Solar’s overall portfolio consists of 86% off-takes with central government companies, with the remaining 14% being made up of state discoms.
The company is an integrated renewable energy player with a diverse portfolio spanning 6,970 MW of solar, wind, FDRE and hybrid solutions.
