Former Indian cricketer Suresh Reina has made special requests to the paparazzi to cheer on team Indian players who have returned to Mumbai following their 2025 Champions Trophy victory. The cricketer turned commentator made special mentions, particularly skippers Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shreya Aier.

Rohit and Iyer are originally from Mumbai, but Kohli built a new home in Alibaug and are neighbours of Mumbai actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal.

In the clip, Reina was seen outside the airport (looking like Mumbai). He said (via Pink Villa):

“Match Deka Airpune, Rohit Sharma Eyega Acehé Sere Karna Usco. Puri Menat Kari Hai Usne.

Translated version:

“Did you see the match (CT Finals)? Rohit Sharma arrives and cheers for him. He’s working very hard. Virat, Rohit, Shrayas Iyer… Kl Rahul.”

Watch the video below:

The statement comes after Rohit led the man to consecutive ICC trophies in blue, becoming the second most successful Indian captain. Ms Dhoni stays at the top of the list with three ICC titles.

In particular, Suresh Raina won the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He has been working as a commentator since his retirement.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli dismiss resignation rumours after the glory of the 2025 Champions Trophy

Indian skippers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have confirmed they will not retire after their 2025 Champions Trophy victory. In the virus clip, Rohit said with Kohli:

“Bhai Hum Koi is a nahi ho rahein hai, inko lag raha hai (Brother, I’m not retired. These people think). ”

Rohit further confirmed his decision to continue playing in the 50-over format. The 37-year-old said at a post-game press conference (via NDTV).

“I’m not going to retire from this format, just to make sure that rumors aren’t spreading.”

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, urged Rohit and Kohli to continue until the 2027 ODI World Cup. He said to Annie:

“The best thing is that Rohit Sharma said he hasn’t retired. Well done, my son. No one can retire Rohit and Virat. They should think about retirement after winning the 2027 ODI World Cup. They were saying this before India won.”

This action will shift to IPL 2025, which will begin on March 22nd. Defending champion Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) will lock Eden Gardens Royal Challenge Bengaluru (RCB) and horn.
