A taxonomic revision of the Chilean genus Homoeomma Ausserer, 1871 (Araneae; Homoeommaidae) with the description of four new species.
Abstract
The diversity and distribution of the genus Homoeomma Ausserer, 1871 in Chile has been updated. Four new species are described: H. toriyamai sp. nov. (♂♀) and H. minimum sp. nov. (♂♀) from the Metropolitan Region, and H. poqui sp. nov. (♂♀) from the Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins Region.
A new species, H. espinozai (male), was discovered from La Araucanía. New distribution records were provided for H. chilense and H. orellanai. Finally, a species identification key and distribution map for the Chilean genus Homoeomma are presented.
summary
Find the latest information on the genetic modification and distribution of Homoeomma Ausserer in Chile in 1871. Four new species described: H. toriyamai sp. nov. (♂♀) y H. minimum sp. nov. (♂♀) from the Metropolitan Region, H. poqui sp. nov. (♂♀) from the Región del Libertador General Bernardo O´Higgins and H. espinozai sp. nov. (♂) from the La Araucanía Region. There are no data in the new distribution registry for H. chilense and H. orellanai. Finally, like a distribution map, we provide bars to identify the species of Homoeomma present in Chile.
