An estrogen reduction program includes:
- Increase your fiber intake. There are two ways to do this: 1. Eat as many high-fiber carbohydrates as possible, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, plus take a fiber supplement (Fiber Source 7) to get 30-50 grams of fiber per day.
- Include more indoles (cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, etc.) in your diet. Again, this can be achieved in two ways: Eat as much as you can and supplement with an indole-3-carbinol supplement (EllagiGuard). Aim for 3 times a day.
- Increase your diet with essential fatty acids (EFAs) as your body cannot produce them, they help balance prostaglandin production in the body and regulate estrogen.
- Increase your overall nutrition by taking extra Vitamin C (Super C Crystals) and concentrated fruit and vegetable supplements (Fruit and Veggie Essences).
Step 3: Eat a 40/30/30 diet. This involves a new approach to eating that aims to balance carbohydrates, protein, and fat at every meal. A balanced diet will normalize your weight, increase your energy levels, and balance your hormones. For more information, see “The Formula” by J & G Daoust.
