“Louisville Williams told his rivals. Coach Ivy followed me because I was mostly a freshman, so that connection was very strong from day one.
“The vibe I got from them is very different…the plans, structures they have for things are truly amazing.”
The four star officially visited Louisville to kick off in June before a trip elsewhere, but UOFL fled to recruit at the last travel stop.
“I really knew it since last weekend,” Williams said. “When we got home, my family and I sat at the airport and talked about their pros and cons: Coach Brunch is a very wonderful person and teacher.
“He has looked at himself in me and given me important guidelines to work to enter my senior season.”
Williams plays at the Louisville branch and focuses on pass-catching as opposed to his two-way role.
“I always wanted to be on the offensive edge,” he said. “It was easy for me. I’m going to be their vertical and deep threat… It’s crazy to hear from coach (Jeff) Bromam, the offensive leading figure in particular.”
Ole Miss, Miami And while many others have been working on recruiting Williams for a while, the rest of his visit should be cancelled in the future.
“We’re closing it,” he said. “That’s amazing. A lot of the stress is almost gone. Now I can relax, become myself and have a great year.
“I’m ready to work and move on with this.”
Louisville’s Top 20 recruitment classes Williams is currently featured four rivals four stars as he has joined Florida’s Jadyn Broadnax among the best-rated recruits to pledge to the Cardinals to date.
