Indian telecom regulatory authorities have approved the 37-40 GHz band spectrum auction for future spectrum auctions. The spectrum of 3,000 MHz is available for each of the identified 22 yen. As a result, the total cost of the spectrum open for auction is about 17,940 crawls.
Communication regulatory authorities have set up spectrums for auction by the Telecommunications Bureau so that telecommunications operators can be used for 20 years.
Trai also recommended auction spectrums for the 42.5-43.5 GHz band while recommending spectrum auctions in the 37-40 GHz band.
“It is wise that the frequency range of 42.5-43.5 GHz cannot be applied to auction at the future spectrum auction due to unusable device ecosystem in the 42.5-43.5 GHz frequency range.”
In addition, TRAI states that spectral caps in 37-40 GHz frequency bands need to be retained as 40 % of the total spectrum on auction. The spectral cap is the maximum amount of spectrum that the service provider is allowed to own a specific frequency band or area.
TRAI’s proposal occurs after the Ministry of Communications asks for a regulatory views on whether these bands should be applied to an auction for a telecommunications service provider.
The recommended prices per MHz are the highest in the 760,000 Rupied/MHz Delhi Circle, followed by 670,000 L -Pee/MHz. The lowest spare price is 3,000 L -Pee/MHz in Junku, Kashmir and the northeast circle.
The frequency spectrum within the 37 to 40 GHz range enables setup of large -capacity low -delay communication networks for advanced use cases by availability to communication service providers.
TRAI recommends that in addition to access service providers, Internet Service Providers and Machine Service Providers will allow them to participate in auctions.
For the purpose of payment, TRAI states that there is an option for telecom players to pay in prepaid spectrum or annual installments of 20 classes.
