Starting late Tuesday, Apple News will show election results on your device’s home screen and lock screen with real-time updates. iPhone owners can see their results through the Live Activity feature, which displays information in the dynamic island area at the top.

To enable it, simply open Apple News on your device. Look for the heading “Follow the election live” under Top Stories or Special Coverage. Tap the little clock icon next to it and a message will pop up letting you know that you’ve scheduled a live activity. Once the event starts, you’ll see real-time updates on your home screen and lock screen.
The message did not specify a specific time when the results would begin, other than tonight. But once TV networks, news sites and other sources start releasing preliminary results, that’s likely when coverage of Apple will start as well.
