San Antonio — Some of the nation’s best recruits from the 2025 and 2026 classes will compete in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl.
Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Auburn, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan State, SMU and more are represented by signees. There’s also an elite group of prospects from the 2026 recruiting cycle, as Navy will have underclassmen participating in the All-American Bowl for the first time.
Rival national recruiting analysts Sam Spiegelman and Adam Gorney are on the field for the first day of practice for the Navy All-American Bowl as the East trains inside the Alamodome and the West competes at nearby Trinity University. there was.
Here are the top performers and key ranking impacts on the first day of practice.
1. Kevin Wynn, 4-star Florida State DL signee
The first time we saw Kevin Wynn in person, we were not disappointed. A traditional interior defensive lineman at 6-foot-2 and over 340 pounds, the Florida State signee is a wide-field defender with exceptional quickness off the line. Wynn threw fits at opposing offensive linemen all day long. The Peach State standout was one of the Rivals’ highest-rising players during a breakout season at Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County. We love the havoc he causes in the middle of the defensive line. His wonderful hands were on display, but they proved too hard to hold.
2. Will Black, 5-star Notre Dame Ott. Signy
Will Black was lab bred to be an offensive tackle, and the five-star Notre Dame signee boasts intriguing athleticism as well. Black shined during position drills and also in live competition. He has a lethal combination of outstanding length and exceptional feet. Black can return to pass sets with authority and withstand pass rushers with speed and power. It was a strong first day for Black, who placed 19th overall in the Rivals250 and shined in a premium position.
3. Amare Adams, 4-star Clemson DL Signy
The first time I saw Amare Adams, it did not disappoint. He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs around 300 pounds with exceptional explosiveness from the line and tremendous strength to bully opposing linemen inside. The Clemson signee has position versatility with some length that can work off the edge as well. His brute strength and inner power are a great mismatch. Adams can move the OL freely. He’s going to move up to the final Rivals250 with a predictable frame and characteristics and an eye-catching performance during AAB week.
4. Jalen Cooper, 4-star SMU WR Signy
Jalen Cooper made the most of West’s first day of practice. The highly productive local wide receiver from Cibolo (Texas) Steele High School showed off his entire route tree, extending the field and also creating plays under and after the catch. Cooper, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs about 180 pounds, moved seamlessly through position training. He was quick in and out of breaks, which led to live competition. The future Mustang is well adapted to football. He has breakout speed that separates him downfield and from the crowd. After his stellar performance with the Steelers, Cooper claims to be one of the best players in the country.
5. Bryce Perry Wright, 2026 4-star DL
Bryce Perry-Wright immediately drew attention on both of his first days of AAB practice inside the Alamodome. The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder from Buford (Ga.) High School is explosive from the line. He has a variety of pass rush moves, including a spin move that he practiced well one-on-one on Tuesday. Perry Wright has a big frame, flexes well, and his combination of speed, power, and athleticism makes him a mismatch for working inside. He’s also certainly no stranger to playing on the edge on Friday nights as a solid run defender.
Perry Wright is coveted by schools across the country including USC, Texas, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Miami, Auburn, Alabama, Clemson and Georgia.
6. Malachi Goodman, 4-star signee from Penn State
Malachi Goodman is a force up front at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds. The New Jersey standout worked indoors as a guard and accomplished his duties. He has a wide frame and plays with low leverage. The Penn State signee came up big with his active hands, forcing problems in one-on-ones that included an array of top interior DLs. Goodman has a style of play that suits the physical nature of Big Ten football. He’s another stock riser who makes a convincing case in San Antonio.
7. Devin Carter, 2026 4-star WR
Devin Carter was one of the top receivers in San Antonio’s road position group on opening day. Carter, 32nd overall in the Rivals250 in the 2026 class, was able to take the lead several times throughout the first day. The Georgia speedster had a smoothness to his game and was more impressive with his catch radius and flashing his hands to create the ball. It rarely left his body.
Georgia, LSU, Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Auburn and Florida State are in the pursuit.
8. Cade Phillips, 4-star Texas CB Signy
Cade Phillips finished an excellent senior season, starring on both sides of the ball at Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower, which continued into AAB week in San Antonio. The four-star Texas signee recorded an interception during the 7-on-7 portion of West’s practice and fired at or around the football on other occasions. At 6-foot-2 and weighing about 180 pounds, Phillips has good hips and can turn and run with ease, and his length and ball skills showed up in downfield coverage. He makes a strong case for continuing to move up in his position group.
9. Antwon Hill Jr., Memphis’ 4-star QB signing
Memphis QB signee Antwon Hill Jr. had a great performance at the quarterback position during East practice on Monday. Hill has a natural slow motion and pitched on time and accurately for a good portion of the first day. The 6-foot-4, 200-plus pound player absolutely can throw downfield, and he did it at a high clip at Warner Robins (Ga.).He competed as a senior at Houston County, starting Tuesday’s tournament. It continued inside. Hill also made good throws underneath and quickly found chemistry with some of the top pass catchers. He has superpowers as a quarterback and has the tools to deliver at a high clip Saturday.
10. Dylan McCutcheon, 4-star Texas WR contract player
Dylan McCutcheon has performed extremely well in his final two seasons at Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy and continued to work in the slot at multiple positions on opening day in San Antonio. Future Longhorns are engineers. He is a crafty route runner with good hands and excellent catch range. He has elite explosiveness and is efficient inside and out. There’s a fluidity to McCutcheon’s game that makes it look very natural. He will likely be playing a lot within DKR in the near future.
