James O’Keefe reported Friday evening, when James O’Keefe reported that O’Keefe Media Group and the IRS tax examiner on the record had retaliated.
Whistleblower David Nelson said access to his network was revoked Thursday afternoon.
“We can’t do it anywhere near what Americans think they can,” IRS’ Engineer Tax Tax Tax David Nelsen told James O’Keefe earlier this week. “We have a very outdated system. They’re not integrated. We’re basically handcuffed.”
David Nelson said there is virtually no funding to improve anything at the agency.
“We had no funds for decades to try and improve anything,” Nelsen said. “When funding is provided, it’s directed towards small band-aid issues rather than big issues overall.”
“There’s also some very outdated software, Nelsen added.
David Nelsen said outdated software has led to bloated workforce and delays in tax processing.
“The exchange of IRS sizes, programs, centralized inventory systems and IDRs has probably resulted in a significant reduction in IRS size,” he said.
Last month, the IRS fired 6,000 employees as President Trump works to reduce the federal workforce.
The IRS plans to cut up to 50% of its workforce.
“I’m not afraid to lose my career,” Nelson said. “If that means I can help the people in America and help everyone else in the IRS who do their job, then I’ll fall on the sword.”
On Thursday, access to Nelson’s network was revoked.
When James O’Keefe called the IRS media chief to request comment, she refused to answer his questions and hung up.
