RRP Semiconductor, a leading company in the semiconductor and renewable energy sector, has bagged an order worth Rs 440 crore from Telecrown Infratech, Pune.
The scope of the order includes the supply and import of critical materials such as silicon solar cells, fused silicon crystals and polycrystalline materials. These components will support the installation of 106 MW solar photovoltaic PV modules across multiple locations in Maharashtra.
This project will expand our influence in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power solutions.
Smita Mishra, Managing Director, RRP Semiconductor, said that the country remains a net importer of this essential product and this strategic order will go a long way in providing high quality silicon crystal PV modules.
“We are committed to building a strong reputation in the field of photovoltaics and semiconductors, particularly in the production of silicon batteries. This opportunity allows us to diversify our service offering and expand our OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and new avenues such as chip-on-glass, NAND flash, and memory modules can be explored,” he added.
