Afrotropical representatives of the genus Zodarus Asqua Revised Thorell, 1889. In addition to known species A. Radiosa Joke, 1986 (Mayotte, Comoros) and A. Le Geney Jocque, 1991 (Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria), six new species were recognized and described. A. arboribaga sp. november (♀, Guinea), A. hoodie sp. november(♂♀, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, South Africa), A. incense sp. november (♂♀, Democratic Republic of Congo), A. Ruki sp. november (♂♀, Democratic Republic of Congo), A. parastris sp. november (♀, Democratic Republic of the Congo) A. Bentrophi grata sp. november (♂♀, Tanzania). A key to the species will be provided. Some species are very widespread, which is rare worldwide. Zodariidae. This phenomenon is probably related to canopy-dwelling behavior, which appears to be common in this genus but unique in this arachnid.
