Following the horrific and incredibly devastating fires in Southern California earlier this year, hundreds of residents in the Pacific Pallisard area have opted to sell their homes rather than rebuilding.

Over the next few months, various people have predicted this to happen. California’s bureaucratic red tape is a nightmare to deal with, let alone exorbitant costs.

It’s absolutely awful for many of these people to realize they are in a position where they can’t rebuild the homes they’ve lived in for years. This is all about the Democratic leaders of the city and nation.

Santa Monica Daily Press Report:

Hundreds choose to sell, rather than rebuild after the Palisade fire

About 300 Pacific Palisade residents have decided to sell the property rather than rebuilding following the catastrophic wildfire damage, but fewer than 100 have begun rebuilding efforts.

Real estate in the Sotheby’s International Realty Reports 273 locally is currently for sale. Despite many being reduced to empty lots, most people are over $1 million. In less damaged areas like Ridgeview Country Estates, homes sell for over $10 million.

Access restrictions complicate the sales process. Many of the Palisades remain closed except for those with special permits, forcing potential buyers to purchase invisible vision. The main access route, the Pacific Coast Highway, has been closed since the fire, creating a long detour that significantly extends commute time.

For residents who choose to rebuild, the process has proven challenging and expensive. In the county area, only 10% of damaged or destroyed homes submit rebuilding applications, with only one permit issued. Within city restrictions, 23 permits had been approved as of late April, representing a 2% reconstruction rate.

For some strange reason, the California Democrats put out a video of their own dancing.

Do they have more pressing issues to address than this?
