A massive wildfire burned out of control and burned homes in Pacific Palisades, California, prompting evacuations on Tuesday.
There are currently several large fires burning in Los Angeles County: Pacific Palisades, Eaton, Burt, Sylmar, Tamarac, and King.
Thousands of people were evacuated and the fire grew to more than 2,900 acres, according to reports Los Angeles Times.
Santa Ana’s gusty winds sent embers flying everywhere, making it nearly impossible for firefighters to contain the blaze.
According to accuweatherovernight wind gusts will exceed 85 mph.
Patients at a Pasadena nursing home raced through their driveways as strong winds caused the fire to spread rapidly.

As the fire raged, caretakers rushed to drive patients across the street from the elderly care facility.

Elderly patients living on the terraces of Parc Marino were evacuated and safely relocated.
