A few hours later WandaVision Spin-off Agatha All Along It premiered on Disney+, and Marvel’s marketing geniuses capped off one final prank on viewers with a five-hour-long ASMR video featuring the show’s leading ladies.
While it would be nothing short of cruel for Disney to lock Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, and Sasheer Zamata in a room and make them perform ASMR content, the five-hour video is actually a loop of roughly three to four minutes of the actors doing their best impressions of what ASMR is.
Highlights of the performance included Khan tapping his claws on a branch, Zamata playing with a potion bottle chain, and LuPone shuffling cards. Plaza, as always, went all out with her ASMR session, making a variety of knife sounds. These included the scraping of a log, stabbing a log, cutting a flower, and licking a knife. Not to be outdone, Plaza ended her ASMR session by lighting and blowing out two candles. According to Plaza, her final act symbolized the annihilation of “all the dark spirits that have haunted us for centuries.” Thank you for your efforts.
Agatha All AlongThe ASMR YouTube video is the latest in a series of media stunts for the show. This year alone, Featuring Plaza and LuPone Hotwe pondered the fan-theory-driven mystery surrounding John Locke’s teen character’s true identity, heard a remix of the theme song, and also watched as the showrunners teased Marvel fans with the long-running gag of changing the spinoff’s name. Agatha All Along So far, the response has been very positive and it won’t be an exaggeration to say that those involved have been laughing and winning a ton of money while promoting the show in every possible way.
Agatha All Along‘s two-part premiere hits Disney+ tonight.
