DC Comics fans Creature Command Announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the animated series marks the start of director James Gunn’s DC saga, and it’s finally set to premiere on Thursday, December 5. After the premiere, new episodes will be available to watch on Max every week until January 16, for a total of seven episodes.
The press release announcing the date, along with the fiery new photos seen here, repeated the official logline:Creature Command Follow a secret team of imprisoned monsters, assembled for a mission deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re the last, worst option.
The all-star cast was also announced, including Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flagg Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot and Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as the Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
The show is written by Gunn, who also serves as one of the executive producers and oversees this new chapter for DC alongside Peter Safran.
