Making your own pastries is intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Trust me, if you have a food processor, it’s easy. And even if you don’t, you need to sacrifice a few more minutes.
What do you like about Jamaican meat pate? They are the real MVPs of all meat pies as they can be snacked anytime. What’s more, saying no to these merchandise is not possible, especially with flake buttery crusts and delicious meat stuffings. Just talking about it makes me drool.

Spicy Jamaican Beef Patty Recipe
The Jamaican meat pate is a beautiful yellow with turmeric and creamy butter. The spicy beef stuffing is enjoyed with curry powder, cumin, garlic, onions, hot peppers, allspice, thyme, paprika and curry. If you’re a hot person, add stuffed scotch bonnet pepper to your filling.

How to make Jamaican beef pate


Create the crust
- mix Mix flour, salt, sugar and turmeric thoroughly in a food processor or by hand. Add butter to shorten it, then combine vinegar and water with a small amount of pulses until it pulsates, then combine the dough into a bowl. (Photo 1-4)

- Ground beef – Add meat and breadcrumbs and continue cooking for more than 10 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Then add about ½ cup of water. (Photo 12)
- Adjust the flavor – Finally, add green onions and parsley and adjust the salt and pepper seasonings. (Photo 13-14)
