Heron Francis won the Trinidad and Tobago 2025 Calypso Monarch title. His song, “Who Ho May Be,” secured his victory. Reported by Derek Achong Trinidad & Tobago Guardian:
Heron Francis secured his second title early this morning, following the Demunch Glass Show. It was his first title since his maiden victory in 2018. The independent senator sang “Who May It Be Be.” This was a heartfelt message to the next Prime Minister of T&T.
He comfortably abdicated 2024 Calypso monarch Macel Montano. The Montano results were well received by the grandstand audience who laughed loudly and jealous.
Breakout 2025 Carnival Artist Akhenaton “Yung Brudda” Lewis took part in the competition and finished third in “We Rise” in the evening.
Anthony “Squeeze Rankin” Lefleur was a favorite of the crowd who applauded before he began his presentation, and placed 10th in “Justice.” His results attracted the rage of the audience who booed when it was announced.
