Podimetricscompanies that help diabetics prevent serious complications are working with HealthMed, a platform for employee health and wellness.
HealthMed aims to integrate Podimetrics’ SmartMat technology into a portfolio of benefits for large employers, hospitals and municipalities. The company also offers employee health and mental health programs.
Podimetrics’ SmartMat measures foot temperature in high-risk patients and scans for early signs of inflammation that can lead to wounds, amputations and diabetic foot ulcers.

HealthMed founder Tracy Webster said that partnership with Podimetrics and innovative solutions for managing complex diabetes will benefit self-insured employers and improve the continuum of care.
“We look forward to the positive impact on health outcomes and overall cost of care,” Webster said in a statement.

In March, Podimetrics partnered with Benefit Management Organization Alivi Health. This Alivi Health has incorporated SmartMat technology into its professional profit portfolio to enhance health plans and podiatrist benefits for payers.
In 2024, Podimetrics sued Ireland-based Bluedrop Medical for patent infringement. Blue Drop There are devices that allow diabetic people to scan their feet for potential instances of foot ulcers.

Diabetes and Insulin Management Software Company Glytec and pharmaceutical company Roche joined forces last year to allow Glytec software to be used in connection with Roche’s Point of Care Smart Device Hospital’s Glycine System Covas System and global markets.
According to Roche, Cobas Pulse’s strip architecture provides lab-like results, reducing the need to repeat testing. This system can be used in all patient populations, including neonates and intensive care patients.
