Chris Murphy and Maxwell Frost were part of a collection of more than 100 homes and Senate Democrat Caucus members who are incited across the country to host city halls in districts and states that Republicans fear to show up and talk to their members.
He and Frost will be in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday, according to Senator Murphy:
Senators Chris Murphy and Rep. Maxwell Frost are once again struggling the road this weekend as billionaires Donald Trump and Elon Musk fight against government takeovers. On Saturday, Murphy and Frost will host City Hall in Florida’s 17th Council District. Last month, Rep. Greg Steube voted for a budget resolution that could put the health care of 118,300 Medicaid enrollees in his district, including more than 16,000 seniors and 9,000 children. If Steube doesn’t meet with his constituents to explain his votes and his votes, Murphy and Frost will.
Just as Congressional Republicans refuse to hide from their constituents and defend their pro-dimer agenda, Murphy and Frost are traveling around the country to highlight how the Trump administration is hurting their families to enrich Ultra Rich’s friends.
City Hall will be held Saturday at 10am ET in Florida’s 17th Congressional District.
Democrat and independent Sen. Bernie Sanders portrays the ability of voters in these districts wherever they are in the districts represented by Republicans, because they are angry and want answers.
Republicans don’t show up to talk to people, so Democrats do.
This is a sensible strategy that lays the foundation for the 2026 midterm elections. Democrats are captivating voters as Republicans are hiding from them.
Murphy and Frost were a very effective team when they traveled the country. With Republican tax cuts for rich debate, it appears that it could last for months, Democrats will have plenty of opportunity to take their lawsuits directly to voters and lay the foundations to bring back all or part of Congress next year.
