Fear of recessionThe disappointing news was met with jubilation from the Republican Party. The celebrations began at the top of the Republican ticket. Donald Trump tried to pin the blame for the drop on Vice President Kamala Harris, “Kamala Crush” his Struggling Social media sites.
Conservative media and pundits predictably jumped on the fear-mongering bandwagon, predicting Monday’s stock market numbers were a harbinger of a coming economic downturn, but one Fox News personality bucked the trend.
“It’s amazing what Donald Trump has done to the market,” Fox News’ Neil Cavuto said on his show Monday. “When stocks are going up, it’s all because of him, we’re counting on him. When stocks are going down, it’s all because of him. [of] “How bad the Democrats are and how awful they are. Some of our biggest vote losses, three of the top 10, happened under his administration.”
Cavuto is Target of MAGA followersBut that didn’t stop him from condemning the confusing and contradictory messages coming from the right.
“You either own the market or you don’t,” Cavuto said. “It’s certainly confusing.”
