The exhibition “Nostalgia Porumisra: Pintula Puerto Riquena del del de Ave Arte de Ponce (1788-1962)” is open on Saturday, April 12th at the Puerto Rico Museum of Art. [MAPR, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico] Santurus, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The touring exhibition was previously exhibited at the Allentown Museum of Art in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2023, and at the Rollins Museum in Winter Park, Florida in 2024.
Hosted by the Ponce Museum and working with the Puerto Rican Museum, the show focuses on three popular themes in Puerto Rican art in the first half of the 20th century: “Mi Hogar”, “Mi Gente”, and Mi Isla [My Home, My People, and My Island].
