What Brown Means to Ohio
What a way to start the Buckeyes’ 2027 recruiting class. Getting the best player in the state this early puts a lot of pressure on recruiters on the front end. He’s an elite player, but a top-10 player nationally as a sophomore is a big deal, so they’ll have to fight to keep him.
Brown became the first 2027 player from Ohio State to receive an offer from the Buckeyes. He earned the offer last summer after performing well in front of coaches at one of Ohio State’s camps.
What Brown brings to the Buckies
electric speed.
That’s what Brown brings to the Buckeyes’ offense. He was an incredible track and field talent, running a time of 10.51 seconds in the 100-meter dash as a freshman. He also won a state title and set a new freshman record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.75 seconds. So Wide receiver coach Brian Hartline The Buckeyes’ offense will find a way to utilize that speed.
There is debate among various schools of thought and evaluators as to whether Brown’s defensive ceiling is actually high. Brown has the length, speed and ball skills to make a big impact in the secondary.
Now he will have a chance to join a long line of Buckeyes receivers under Hartline who went on to have great college careers and played in the NFL.
