Jamie Cod concluded his Cheltenham column with his Race-by-Race Guide on Friday, the festival’s flagship day, which is the festival’s Race Guide.
JCB Triumph Hurdle (1.20)
Willie Mullins has incredibly 11 runners here, so he clearly holds a strong hand, and Lulumba seemed potentially smart when he wins at Ascot, but what did I really take to? East India Dock I’ve done it since it switched to James Owen’s hurdle.
He has so far received two impressive victories, and that Cheltenham experience certainly has his favour in comparison to his major market rivals.
He adds Golden Horn, who raised Golden Ace, the winner of the 2025 champion hurdler, and Burdet Road, who finished second in that race and added yards with adddlele, and James Owen can undoubtedly mix the biggest names at the Cheltenham Festival.
William Hill County Handicap Hurdle (2.00)
Absurd He’s 8 pounds more than this win last year, but it’s quite possible that the handicapper doesn’t have his bottom yet, especially since he’s not seen him in the hurdle race since the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.
He was impressed by how he went through last year’s running, traveled hard after the last and got better and faster. He defeated L’Aeu du Sud. He clearly showed himself to be a Grade 1 horse. After that, Auside proved he is a real classy operator who has since made some great efforts in the flats.
Willie Mullins appears to hold the county ace, as Calghese is clearly a major risk for what appears to be a favorable mark in the race that should suit her.
Mrs Paddy Power Mares ‘Chase (2.40)
Allegory de Vassy Since adopting more aggressive tactics in her race, she has jumped better and looked more comfortable. I sid her and beat older rivals like DinoBlue and Limerick Lace when I see her again on a Friday afternoon.
She has been very good since Christmas. He just tore a Limerick race for 25 lengths and headed to DinoBlue at Opera Hat last month at Naas. The step-up on the trip is probably in her favor over Dinoblue’s, and she’ll get a vote from me to win this time.
Albert Bartlett’s Hurdles Beginners (3.20)
I was very impressed with determining the new lion victory on Wednesday and the strength of its race, I’m watching Wendigo At Albert Bartlett, as my strongest fantasies of the day at the price. He was second in the new lion when he stopped by Charrow and he picked up really late.
Judging by its execution, I think he will definitely continue his extra trip and improve it. He is classier and incredibly well-shaped than some of his rivals at the top of the market. I think he’s a very good horse.
Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup (4.00)
We’ve seen anything could happen in horse racing in the hurdles of Tuesday’s champions, so let’s look forward to the smooth passages of the Gallopindeath Champion when he line up for the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup. I absolutely want to see him win this race and emulate a great man. He deserves this moment – he has been an absolute joy to see over the years.
I think Banbridge is an interesting candidate for Joseph O’Brien. He was good at King George and we know the nice ground that suited him. He brings new form lines to the table, but the more I see the replay of the Irish Gold Cup, the more I think inothewayurthinking If you want to participate in Galopin Des Champs, we will show you as an option for each of them.
He judged his Kim Muir victory at Cheltenham and improved the Savilles Chase Run as he approached the Irish Gold Cup champion. I hope he moves forward again and this week we’ve seen how good Gavin Cromwell is at preparing for the festival.
St. James Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunter Chase (4.40)
I was enthusiastic Willitgohead For a while now, I think he’ll be running a big race in the Big Hunter Chase on Friday. He was very well trained by Sean Doyle and now he is with Bective Stud Colors along with Gordon Elliott.
This horse is a truly young and progressive runner in this area, and he is open to a ton of improvements. He bolted at Thurles in January and was really impressed with his clean, offensive jumps and the way he traveled. I don’t know why he can’t adapt to the bigger fields and why he fits this kind of basis. He has his favor here.
Sam Curling saddles the angel dawn that is common in lace, but I scream at him too. Wonderwall At a big price. This is a horse with so many talents and very good shape to his name, dating back several years ago.
He often struggled with jumps, but when he scored two points for his new trainer, he was good at obstacles. He also has Rob James on his back. He is truly one of the best people in business. There will not be any delays on each of them at 25-1.
Martin Pipe Conditional Jockey Handicap Hurdle (5.20)
wodhooh Another thing I’ve written a lot on attheraces.com over the past few months and I’m excited to see her lineup in search of her seventh straight hurdle victory. She still doesn’t experience defeat in this discipline, and her form line talks a lot along with things like Joyes.
Gordon Elliott says this is a plan for some time. She’ll be riding Danny Gilligan, the created star, and I hope this filly’s winning streak continues.
