The Western liberal democratic order is in crisis. If it collapses or its power wanes significantly, what will replace it? Prolonged chaos and massive human suffering? Regressive authoritarianism? Or can we read the signs of the times and arrive at a synthesis that preserves liberalism’s best features while learning from its mistakes?
Today’s guest is Jonah Bennett, editor-in-chief of a fascinating new online magazine called Palladium, which is dedicated to building what we might call a postliberal synthesis. Palladium Magazine aims to foster a responsible elite perspective with high-quality, non-ideological coverage of everything from geopolitics to video game addiction to the crisis in Ivy League institutions.
