“I’m glad we were able to bring you a story of faith,” the 48-year-old actress exclusively told our weekly magazine on Thursday, Nov. 21, while promoting her Great American Christmas Movie. “Some are not about faith, some are in the traditional romantic comedy realm, but viewers really want more meaningful messages.”
Cameron Bure added that fans “love” the religious aspects of the network’s shows, especially for those commemorating the pious significance of Christmas.
“We know that the reason we celebrate Christmas is because of the birth of Christ,” she said. “I made a lot. [movies] It never touches on the true meaning of Christmas. So just the fact that we mention God or we have a Bible verse or a Bible message like a proverb, someone might hear that and think, “Oh, that’s really good advice.” No. They may not realize it comes from the Bible, but we love putting it in movies. ”
Before joining Great American Family, Cameron Bure was a long-time Hallmark star. In April 2022, the actress announced that she would be parting ways with Hallmark and pivoting to Great American Media. In addition to starring in their projects, Cameron Bure was also signed on to direct and curate shows for the network.
Cameron Bure’s shocking departure caused a lot of backlash. She has defended her decision many times and said she was not surprised by the negative reaction to the news.
“Hallmark has been a favorite for years and I loved working there. So how can I leave?” she said. us. “And it’s just like things grow and things change and new chapters are born. Cameron Bure is happy with The Great American Family, but admits she misses some of her signature characters. Especially Aurora Tea Garden is one of them. “What I liked [Home Sweet Christmas] It’s like, we’re playing childhood friends, we were best friends as kids, we got separated, years went by, and then we got back together. Because my great-uncle passed away and he left the maple sugar farm for both of us. It’s so Christmassy,” she shared. “But it felt refreshing in that they were forever friends, reuniting, rekindling their friendship, and remembering what they really loved about each other.”
In addition to holiday films, Cameron Bure is also helping launch the Great American Family Christmas Festival in New York City. This immersive experience, which will be held at UBS Arena from November 22nd to December 29th, will include a variety of holiday activities for the whole family.
