Buffy the Vampire Slayer Showrunner Joss Whedon is well known for planning major storylines years ago. For example, we foresee the existence of Buffy’s sister Dawn in seasons 3 and 4 before its introduction in season 5. In the season 2 episode “Halloween,” Willow assures Buffy (not to mention the audience) that the vampire will not date Cordelia, but the two end up falling in love on a spinoff show angel.
Why was Slayer talking about how Cordelia and Angels got caught in the first place? At the beginning of “Halloween”, she was late to date with her bite bo, as she had to put some of his fellow vampires. This gives Cordelia time to bump into Angel in bronze, and Buffy worries that she’s not the kind of woman she really likes her centuries old boyfriend.

When I first saw “Halloween,” it’s hard to resist Willow when she says “angels will never fall [Cordelia’s] Activities. “Buffy’s witch assures her that “she’s not his type,” but Buffy begins to worry that she’s not his type.
rear BuffyCordelia for the third season left Sunnydale to join the Los Angeles Angels. angel The spinoff has presented multiple girlfriends and their honorable characters over the years, but it wasn’t as surprising as Cordelia. She began working with Angels in season 1, and their business relationship quickly blossomed into actual friendships.
For most angelour title character and Cordelia had a friendly relationship, but that changed after Buffy passed away. Cordelia helps the angels handle the trauma of murderous death, and they have come to fruition (irritated, I’m irritated Slowly) They had feelings for each other. Sadly, the show never really explored their relationship. She was yoked to a higher plane and returned to owned by Jasmine, so the villain was so scary by some of the worst sentences in all of Whedonverse.

From a TV perspective, it’s not so surprising that Angel and Cordelia fell in love. Even a little bit… after all, it’s been years since TV shows can hang hot lead characters before our eyes before becoming couples. But it’s a bit shocking that Willow, a wise and magical character, was so wrong about the possibility that Angel and Cordelia would ever get caught. What’s even more shocking is that Joss Whedon puts the hand in the possibility of becoming the most infamous relationship of the spinoff.
of course, angel When Willow made her predictions, there was no spinoff there, so neither she nor Whedon could speculate that vampire and Cordelia would become the protagonist destined for a sloppy romance. Another reason why Willow’s false predictions make it easy to go with, is that even a witch like her can’t see the future. Certainly, the angel pinning Buffy in season 2 never fell into the Airhead Cordelia, but both characters changed dramatically to the point of falling in love. And Willow herself changed dramatically in even less time, coming out as a gay and fell in love with Tara.
After all, it’s easy for Joss Whedon to predict little sisters, but not to predict mental issues (whether they’re magical).
